March: Celebrate Holi in Vrindavan

June: Bike ride to Sikkim

If you are done with the hustle bustle of the metro cities, Sikkim can be a great escape for you. The snow clad mountains and the lush greenery is bound to steal your heart. What makes it even more interesting is that you can go on a bike ride to Nathula pass with your biker friends. Also on the way, you can see the beauty of the North East, see the ice lakes and visit the villages as well.

July: Step on the Living Root Bridge in Meghalaya

Mother Nature has given birth to numerous astonishing things in this world. One of them is the Living root bridges in Meghalaya. When wooden bridges succumb to the intense rainfall in the area, it is these bridges that provide the residents with an alternative. It takes approximately 15 years for one of these bridges to grow and some of these bridges are as ancient as a thousand years.

August: Watch the Retreat Parade at Wagah-Attari Border

Although the lowering of the flags is a daily ceremony on the border, to witness it on the Independence day is something else. Fill yourself with a sense of pride and patriotism as you witness the beating retreat ceremony on the Wagah-Attari border. And while you are in Amritsar, it is a given that you must visit the Golden Temple.

September: Enjoy the sunset at Gokarna

For all the people who feel that Goa is the place to be, we are sorry to burst your bubble. Goa is not what it used to be at one point in time. Commercialization and overpopulation have proved to be a huge buzzkill for the place. Gokarna, on the other hand, provides a better alternative to Goa.
